Who knew I would become obsessed with eyebrows. Brows come in different shapes, sizes (thick or thin) and colour. Your eyebrows are just as important as anything else on your face, creating your individual style through makeup, but importantly a good brow product that fills and shapes your brows transforming your makeup look and really framing your face. I admit I was never one to fill in my brows years ago, a quick brush through and I was done. Thinking now back to those days, why on earth did I not do my brows?!

Let me introduce you to The Brow Gal and the amazing brands founder Tonya Crooks behind it all.

Tonya is a classically trained Makeup Artist whom works with a number number of celebrities including Megan Fox, Julia Roberts, Britney Spears and more. Tonya earned a reputation in the beauty industry as the go to "browgal".

While working on her clients, Tonya found out that the eyebrow pencils in the market didn't have a wide range of colour and that the texture was too creamy. So she set out to develop her own range of brow products. The first collection includes brow pencils in five shades to suit all skin and hair colours. Two highlighter pencils, clear brow gel, tweezers and brow scissors and a pack of file to sharpen the scissors and tweezers.

If your familiar with The Brow Gal products or less familiar, the brands signature black packaging is sleek, simple but yet well-made. There are three palettes to choose from 01 (dark hair) 02 (medium hair) 03 (light hair).

Recently Tonya launched a new brow product. The Convertible Brow*, it is a wet/dry powder and pomade duo, this is her first "powder" product in the line.

If your familer with The Brow Gal products or less familer, the brands siganature black packaging is sleek, simple but yet well-made. In this palette you get a warm, neutral and a ash tone to allow you to mix and match a custom colour, plus a double ended brow brush with a spoolie on one end and the other a angled brush. I really like that this brush is full sized, with the spoolie on one end and the angled brush on the other. The brush is nicely shapped with synthetic bristles, making it easy to use as well as clean.

Now, there are many ways you can apply The Convertible Brow. For starters, you can use it wet or dry. When shaping/filling in your brow, Tonya recommends working from left to right and starting underneath the brow first. Once you've sketched a baseline, you then draw a parallel line along the top of the brow, so that both lines meet at the tail. You then fill in any sparse or empty brow areas. To avoid any harsh edges, you can always use your spoolie to gently brush through the colour.

To use this product wet, simply dampen an angled side of your brush and then dip it into the powder. Since this is a special "dual" formula, the powder itself won't be ruined. I like to mix and match all three colours for my brows; I only dampen my brush at the very end (when I want to draw in individual hairs for that superb 3D effect) and it always looks good.

It doesn't really matter whether you are using this product wet or dry - the powder/pomade does last incredibly well on the brows. It is not a waterproof product, so it can be smudged a little. But if you are careful enough with your work of art then you will be fine. I think The Brow Gal team did a great job with The Convertible Brow. It is very pigmented, easy to apply/blend/wear and I can't even point a single negative thing to say about it. The colour selection is terrific as well!

What do you think of The Convertible brow? Have you tried it yet?
